Sydney's Watch

Sydney is getting much more creative as well as independent when doing
projects (thank goodness). Here she made a watch, all on her own.

A Child's Touch

I was performing surgery on daddy's finger while Dayton was comforting
him. Dayton has a very real gift of
being able to love and comfort people.

Chapel of love

I could hear Sydney asking Dayton "Do you want to get married?" to
which Dayton was very reluctant, but finally agreed. She demanded
that they hold hands and was doing what woman do well, dragging her
husband all over the place. Dayton is as you can see, already playing
his part very well.
This sprouted, I think, from watching movies like Little Mermaid, and
getting this new little white dress from a friend.

Dayton Grew Antlers

Some good friends brought us to the Alaska Zoo today. The temperature
was in the teens but we were troopers. We were just glad to see a
little sunshine.

For those who are self contious about having big ears, it could be
much worse. :)

Thank You

A special thanks to all those who sent cards for Birthdays and
Valentine's Day this month. We have been spoiled with love (and a
little extra birthday cash as well). And to all those who forgot, who
the heck cares, we know you still love us anyway. (At least we're
pretty sure). ;-)

Sydney's birthday cake

I couldn't decide between a castle cake or priness in gown, so I did
both. :). The barbie we got was about 6 ft too tall for the cake so
we used a little cabbage patch girl. It was either, have the skirt at
barbies knees, or have the skirt up to cabbage patch girl's neck. We
went with the latter.

The Power of Playland

I discovered Playland at Fred meyer on Abbot and I feel like I won the
lottery. I had a full hour to shop ALONE. I have to admit, it felt
kind of funny. I kept walking around the store amazed at how much
freedom I had for that one hour. I didn't have a cart with kids
dangling on all sides. All I got were garbage bags and I'll tell you,
shopping for garbage bags never was so much fun. It of course tooknme
the FULL hour. :) From now on, it's shopping at Abbot. Who needs
Chuck-e-Cheese when you have playland, for FREE.
