Dayton loves Chuck-E
For Dayton's birthday, Chuck-E-Cheese sent him 20 free tokens (via a coupon). The first thing he wanted to do when he and I arrived was say 'hi' to Chuck-E. He's such a sweet kid. Chuck-E would randomly move but it didn't bother or scare him.
20 tokens here and a happy meal from McDonalds for $3.50 and we had a fun birthday outing. I love you so much Dayton, and I love spending time with you. You are a lot of fun to be with.
Sincerely,
Mom

School Dance
Half the time the lights were on and half the time, the lights were off. I have mixed feelings about kindergardeners going to dances, but we went as a family and had some fun. Still want to think more about it for next time. Any thoughts would be more than welcome. I liked the fun silly songs, but there were times when it seemed a little dark and intense for young kids. Feeling mixed.
School Dance
This is Sydney and her best friend, Dakota, at their school's 'cupcake' dance. Younger siblings were allowed to attend with their parents. It was pretty fun. The music was sooooo loud, but apparently, not as loud as the kids.

The Irish Twins in their Toddler Beds
Sydney and Dayton are turning 5 & 6 this month. Who said these beds were for toddlers anyway? Surely we've got a few more years to go with these babies (referring to the beds of course). :)

It's dangerous living a block from Subway
We were given an advantage card from Dave's work which gives us a good discount at Subway. No surprise then that it's now one of our favorite destinations. :) Especially when I don't have a good plan for dinner. I saw them sitting there and couldn't believe how grown up they were. I really like being their mom. Hopefully I'll get better at it with each year.
Sledding Jan 2011
Less than 100 yards from our front door is a great sledding hill. The day previous, Dave came and played in the snow for 2 hours and more than likely helped them build their little jump. It's nice now and again having them grow up and be a little more independent.
Driving
We have a picture of Sydney, close to this age, doing the exact same thing, in the exact same van. :)

I like being a mom
Somehow I've worn down. This is the first baby allowed in my bed, and as it happens, this is now his bed too.
